This June 4th, 30 youth from R CITY will run in the Race Against Gun Violence, not just to finish a race, but to create a safer summer for the children of West Humboldt Park.
These young leaders are training, preparing, and showing up for their community.
They are running because they know something powerful: Safe summer programs save lives.
When school ends, many kids in our neighborhood face the highest risk of violence and negative influences. But when young people have safe spaces, mentors, and meaningful activities, they thrive.
Our runners are raising funds so every child who wants to attend summer camp can go. It only takes $500 to fully fund an R CITY youth through summer camp.
With 30 runners, our goal is to raise $15,000 to fund our summer camp program.
Every gift helps provide safe summer programming for kids across West Humboldt Park.
Donate today and sponsor our youth runners. 100% of funds donated go to support our ongoing programming.
