Story- Hi! I am Amanda Solis and I am inspired to run for my mother Peggy. At the age of almost 2 years, her family started to realize changes to her hands and feet that were unlike they have seen before. After much testing, different doctors, and many opinions, my mother was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Osteolysis. From her diagnosis in 1970 till now, there is very little research as it is an extremely rare condition. She is an inspiring mother who was told she was never able to have children, drive, walk, or even live past the age of 16. At the age of 58 she truly is a miracle.
At the core of the organization are the Captains—athletes with disabilities who inspire us all to push boundaries and redefine what’s possible. As an Angel, you are paired up with an Athlete who has a disability called our "Captains." You commit to guiding your "Captain" to the finish line to ensure that every BODY is celebrated, seen, and included!
Every dollar raised through Angel Fundraisers directly supports our mission of empowering athletes with disabilities to experience the thrill of endurance events. Your contributions help us provide adaptive equipment, race entries, and the support necessary for our athletes to cross the finish line.
