This will be my 6th year participating in the BFit Challenge, sponsored by the Boston Bruins! Why do I fundraise for BFit in particular? Each year that I have participated, the dedication and support that the Bruins give to various First Responder and Military charities is beyond amazing. The event itself is well organized and provides a forum for charities and related organizations to promote themselves, and the Boston Bruins cover all event expenses so that ALL FUNDRAISING goes to the charities! Amazing!!
Why 22Mohawks? Two years ago was the first time our team fundraised for this great charity, which is when I started following 22MH on social media. I was very impressed with the various programs offered to prevent suicide among veterans and first responders, especially their program to match Pups with Vets and First Responders. If you've known me for any length of time, you know that animal welfare charities are important to me, and this program combines finding pups a home with reducing the isolation, lack of support, or lack of purpose of veterans and responders may feel. "A dog offers companionship and purpose, due to the care required and ongoing training the veterans, first responders and their families participate in." Check out the 22Mohawks website if you'd like to learn more about their complete set of programs and what they offer. If you are a veteran or first responder and feel this charity may be one that can help you, I hope you'll learn more about them and reach out.
Thank you in advance for your support of the 10th Annual BFit Challenge powered by National Grid. I would really like to support Stacey Ann, Dave, and the whole team at 22Mohawks, and I can only do so with your help. Thanks for your consideration!
