Our skills to care for our cancer patients are different in our day to day tasks but our hearts and determination to always make a difference are united. That is why we have joined forces to tackle for the 3rd time, The Hawthorne Cancer Foundation’s Fall Challenge to ride and walk the 51.7 mile Capital Trail of Virginia supporting The Hawthorne’s Transportation/Discretionary Fund this coming October.
All funds raised will go directly to essentials like transportation services and gas cards, which help ease the daily challenges faced by patients undergoing treatment. Over the past two years, our community has generously supported our cause and helped us raise $20,265 in 2022 and $33,205 in 2023. Our goal for 2024 is $40,000.
With your support, we can continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients in our community.
Come October, look for us, Team Hawthorne on the Virginia Capital Trail riding and walking making a positive change!
Warmest regards,
TEAM HAWTHORNE
