Story

Many of you know of my loss and reason for being involved with the Brest Cancer Network of WNY. For the others that don't, my wife Coleen was diagnosed in 2007 and was taken from us in 2013. After surgery, chemo, and radiation, she was declared cancer free and rang the bell at Roswell only to be diagnosed with metastatic disease less than five years later. Facing that dire prognosis, Coleen fought on with love for her family and determination to survive. Her strength and love and fortitude became an inspiration to us all and we continue to take comfort in her memory every day.

I ask that you support our cause to help find an end to breast cancer and the thousands of deaths it causes every year. Coleen left this world way too early and left children and grandchildren behind.  And now there are two more grandsons that will know her only from the stories we share and the photos they see. The world is not fair, the breast cancer world even less. My heart aches every day with the knowing of how Coleen would have been such a wonderful grandmother.

Please, help us support all Western New Yorkers impacted by breast cancer by getting your friends, family, and coworkers involved with the Hope for Tomorrow 5K. You can donate here, create your own fundraising page and have people donate to that or join a team of your own. It doesn't matter how you do it, but we are so appreciative that yiu are helping our cause.
