Founded in 1986, the mission of Fearless! Hudson Valley, Inc., (formerly known as Safe Homes of Orange County) is to build an informed, just, and accountable society so all people can experience supportive and safe relationships free from abuse, exploitation, and oppression. They do this by education, prevention, advocacy, and providing comprehensive services, including shelter, to victims and survivors of interpersonal violence, human trafficking and sexual violence, and other types of crime victimization.
In 2019, Fearless! answered 7,968 calls to their 24-hour hotline, 82 adults and 27 children slept safely in their emergency shelter and overall, 2,582 adults and 1,809 children were served by Fearless! Advocates throughout all agency programs. Those aren’t just numbers: those are the lives of our neighbors, families, co-workers, and friends. Together, WE CAN BE HEROES for victims and survivors in Orange and Sullivan County. PKF O'Connor Davies and Friends has committed to fundraising $1000 for Fearless!, an organization helping victims and survivors in our local community.
- $25 buys a set of new sheets and a pillow for a shelter resident.
- $50 pays for a round trip cab ride to court.
- $75 supports a client's therapeutic counseling session.
- $100 provides food for a survivor and 2 children for a week.
- $200 covers one day of emergency shelter and support services.
