This year, I am honored to participate in Trailfest, running in support of the Stars and Stripes Honor Flights organization. My motivation for this journey is deeply personal. Earlier this year, my father, a proud Air Force veteran of the Korean War, had the privilege of taking an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. It was an unforgettable experience for him, as he stood among his fellow heroes, visiting the memorials that stand in tribute to their sacrifices.
The Honor Flights organization provides these life-changing trips entirely through donations. They work tirelessly to give our veterans the recognition they deserve, ensuring they know their service is not forgotten. This is why I’m running – to help make sure that more veterans can have this profound experience.
As I tackle the challenging trails out west, I’ll be carrying the memories of my dad’s service, and the stories of countless other veterans who have given so much for our country. With every step, I’m asking for your support. Together, we can give our heroes the honor and gratitude they’ve earned.
