Together, over many decades, Karen and Sam Colombo made a difference in so many lives of people who were fighting hunger.
You may remember seeing Sam throughout Croton, in front of churches and local businesses, collecting donations and always trying to raise more funds than the year before -- or on race day -- leading and lifting us all toward the finish line! And his loving wife Karen counted and organized the money he'd collected each day and kept track of the totals. Together, they made quite a team that inspired so many of us!
Sadly, Karen passed in 2023 and Sam passed in 2025 -- but their spirits live on through the annual Harry Chapin Memorial Run & Walk Against Hunger. You can help us to keep their enduring legacies alive by making a contribution in any amount in their memory, right here!
