Please join or support our team as we walk in honor of Hudson Noonan and the other countless families grieving pregnancy loss, infant loss & infertility.
For those of us whose pregnancies ended before we could bring home our babies, it’s difficult to find ways to honor those precious lives. Many of us want to keep their memories alive and this race is one way to do so.
Hudson's Story
In September 2023, after a heartbreaking miscarriage earlier that year, we were overjoyed to find out we were expecting again. By Christmas, we learned we were having a boy—Hudson—and shared the exciting news with our family. The pregnancy was smooth, despite Hudson measuring ahead in size and my gestational diabetes requiring additional monitoring.
At 35 weeks, during a routine ultrasound, doctors discovered potential abnormalities. I was alone when I heard the words, “We believe something is wrong with the baby.” I was devastated and overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty. Follow-ups confirmed concerns, and I was scheduled for a c-section with NICU support in place.
On June 11, Hudson was born at 12:55 p.m., weighing 7 lbs, 15 oz. He was in immediate respiratory distress and rushed to the NICU. Those first few days were filled with tests, treatments, and prayers. Eventually, he was diagnosed with Neonatal Meningitis—an extremely rare condition.
We spent eight intense, hope-filled days by Hudson’s side in the NICU. On June 19, we received emergency approval for an experimental treatment. But that evening, we got the call—Hudson had gone into cardiac arrest. We rushed to the hospital, but he was already gone before we arrived.
Later, we learned Hudson had Costello Syndrome, an extremely rare genetic condition that made him vulnerable to Meningitis. While we now have some answers, nothing eases the pain of losing him. Hudson will always be a part of our family—deeply loved, never forgotten.
