Allison had 12.5 "bonus years" across her two lung transplants. That was half of our marriage.
Thanks to the gift of strangers, she got to see the kids grow up to adulthood.
Southwest Transplant Alliance was part of both transplants at UTSW St. Paul and Clements hospitals.

We were thankful for every extra breath.
Allison left us in 2021. She did not "lose" - she outlived her body thanks to stubbornness, sarcasm, willpower, and love.
We will not forget her and we owe our thanks to her donors and their families.

Allison's first lung transplant was in 2008 on her 34th birthday. It became tough to beat that gift.
Allison's second lung transplant was in 2016. So we had to recreate that photo.
