Born from the tragedy of 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries forward a legacy of courage and heroism. Built upon the mantra, “While we have time, LET US DO GOOD,” the Foundation supports our nation’s fallen and catastrophically injured first responders, military heroes and their families.
This year, the climb is in honor of four local law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice on April 29, 2024:
• U.S. Marshal Task Force Officer Sam Poloche (North Carolina Department of Adult Correction)
• U.S. Marshal Task Force Officer William "Alden" Elliott (North Carolina Department of Adult Correction)
• Deputy U.S. Marshal Thomas "Tommy" Weeks Jr.
• Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officer Joshua Eyer, who was also a veteran of the North Carolina National Guard. Their courage, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to service will never be forgotten.
Having a family member in law enforcement this is near and dear to our hearts.
