10th Annual Peacock Strides for Babies

Thank you to my United Community Bank family for supporting me by sponsoring, donating, and/or joining me in participating in the 10th Annual Peacock Strides for Babies. My great niece, Emily (pictured), was a healthy, vibrant, and happy baby with red hair that was always blowing in the wind, thus the nickname "Peacock." She passed away suddenly in June of 2009 at the age of 5 months. Her cause of death was determined as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Her parents started this race to raise funds for SIDS research in the hope that the cause(s) of SIDS can be identified and ultimately prevented so that this terrible tragedy never happens to another family.
