About The Family Place

The Family Place Utah was established in 1982 as a small facility in Logan, Utah, known as The Child & Family Support Center. It began with the goal of providing a safe shelter for children involved in crisis situations. Since then, it has expanded to meet the needs of all families in their community. The Family Place Utah is a non-profit whose mission is to strengthen families and protect children. They have locations in Hyrum, Logan, and Smithfield and provide services to Cache, Rich, and Franklin counties. They provide essential services including therapy, free educational classes, Kids Place emergency and respite care, and The Starfish Children's Shelter.

They are also a part of the Utah Association of Family Support Centers. This means they are one of 11 family support centers in Utah that provides clients with 24-hour crisis & respite nursery, a 24-hour information and referral service, and parenting and youth education programs. They continue to do all they can to “make a difference for that one.” For more information visit thefamilyplaceutah.org or call 435-752-8880.

We love our little friends. We were excited to make the Cache Humane Society the beneficiary of donation from our Halloween Fun Run, the Wicked Way 5K.

About Cache Humane Society

Cache Humane Society has been helping animals in Cache Valley for over 40 years! We were established in 1976 by local animal-lovers who fostered animals in their own homes. After much fundraising, hard work and community support, we opened a new shelter in 2008. Two years later we added a Community Spay/Neuter Clinic to provide affordable services for family pets.

We have expanded into a 5,000 square foot facility, with dedicated space for clinic services, education programs, and an outdoor play park for our shelter animals. As we’ve grown, we’ve built a family of animal-lovers that includes over 30 staff and hundreds of volunteers.
