I'm asking for donations to Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Greater Washington, DC (RMHCDC). I've chosen this nonprofit because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope you'll consider contributing to support families with a hospitalized child. I've included information about The Red Shoe 5k and RMHCDC below.
If you would like to go beyond a donation and join me as we raise our feet to raise hope for families, then please register for the virtual or in-person 5k. In-person participants will join us at the Capital Canopy on National Plaza at National Harbor, MD 20745. Virtual participants can join wherever they are!
Celebrating 14 years of the Red Shoe 5k: The Red Shoe 5k Run and Walk is the one and only annual event held by RMHCDC to raise critical funding for our programs and the families that we serve. Though as the event grows and changes, the goal remains true – to give our community a fun way to come together and show support for the families served by RMHCDC!

We help families struggling with problems like how to stay near and support a hospitalized child, how to afford staying together in another city while a child is undergoing treatment, or even how to get basic medical care in a vulnerable community. We provide solutions for these and other issues related to easing the hardship of children’s illness on families through our core programs.
