We presented our very first MINI GOLF IN THE JOHNSON PUBLIC LIBRARY event in July 2022 for adults and children — a full 18 holes inside the Library, plus refreshments! It was a great success - everyone had lots of fun and we raised over $3,000 for the Library. View the event website here: MINI GOLF IN THE JOHNSON PUBLIC LIBRARY
The Friends also sponsored the Library's participation in the 2022 ARTS AMBLE featuring artists and crafters in the Library, plus a rock painting art project, displays of student art from Hackensack schools, and squeegee paintings created by local teenagers. In May 2023, we funded the Library's program WHEN BROADWAY WAS BLACK: A CELEBRATION OF SHUFFLE ALONG featuring Caseen Gaines, the book's author and popular Hackensack resident. Personalized copies of the book, signed by the author, are still available for sale in the Friends' store. Click here to ORDER THE BOOK
The Friends of the Johnson Public Library Board is now meeting virtually via Zoom video conference, usually on the fourth Thursday of the month at 4:30 pm. If you would like to participate, please send an email so we can add you to the invitation list.
