Run Cabarrus is a competitive youth cross country club dedicated to developing distance runners. Through training and competitive events, the athletes gain experience in teamwork, discipline, and a passion for the sport of running. Workouts are designed to further develop the individual athletes form, speed and endurance.
We plan to offer running conditioning sessions in March and May followed by a competitive Fall Cross Country program from August thru December. Conditioning sessions are held twice a week with the goal of maintaining running fitness and helps provide an introduction to distance running.
The fall cross country program is a competitive club team. Athletes are expected to attend all scheduled team practices. Athletes should be capable of running 2-3 miles non-stop and have a desire to run. Participation on this competitive club team is limited and will be available by invite only.
