Off-Road Runner Training

Our SARR Off-Road Runner Training program will prepare runners for the SARR Prickly Pear 10 mile or 50K event.

 

Registration for our next training will open late Fall 2018

 

Two training programs to fit your running needs:

10 Mile Program

  • 10 Mile Off-Road Training Program
  • Focused on beginner/intermediate trail runners
  • 10 week training program
  • Weekly team runs (Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings)
  • Discount on Prickly Pear registration fee
  • Learn how to prepare for a trail race, including tips on race strategy, gear, and pacing
  • Run in local/regional parks and natural areas
  • Flexible weekly workout schedule
  • Includes training, training team shirt
  • Focused on preparing for SARR Prickly Pear race in March
  • Taught by RRCA Certified Coaches

50K Program

  • 50K Off-Road Training Program
  • Focused on experienced trail runners or runners who have recently completed a marathon
  • 10 week training program
  • Weekly team runs (Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings)
  • Discount on Prickly Pear registration fee
  • Learn how to prepare for a trail race, including tips on race strategy, gear, and pacing.
  • Run in local/regional parks and natural areas
  • Flexible weekly workout schedule

Volunteering

Are you an experienced trail runner interested in volunteering to help mentor other runners?  If you want to give back to the local running community and volunteer with SARR, review our  volunteer opportunities here.

All our volunteers get to participate in that training program for FREE.
