SARR Walk to 5K Training

 
SARR, "A Place for Every Pace!" invites you to join our award-winning Walk 2 Run 5K Beginner Training Program!
This is an excellent program for beginner runners, walkers, and anyone who desires physical accountability.
We will meet twice a week for group training that fosters physical fitness, healthy habits, and running knowledge all in a FUN and ENCOURAGING environment.

  • National Award-Winning Program.
  • 8 - 10 weeks long.
  • Weekly team runs on Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings.
  • Flexible weekly workout schedule.
  • Includes training tech shirt
  • Prepares participants for a 5K race
  • Led by RRCA Certified Running Coaches.
  • Presented by San Antonio Road Runners (a non-profit running club dedicated to providing events and education on running since 1973).
  • Focused on first-time runners or those returning to the sport after a long layoff.
  • Uses a walk/run training method to prepare participants to run a 5K race in just 8 - 10 weeks.
  • Tips and techniques on the basics of running.
  • Online registration is required prior to first day.
  • Volunteer to help in a Training program - We have a variety of volunteer positions including coaching, mentoring, pacing, course setup, speakers, social activities, and other duties.  All our volunteers get to participate in that training program for FREE.  Volunteer Now!
