Join fellow Wolverines around the world throughout the month of September for the 2021 Hail! from Home Virtual 5K. Wolverines are coming together from across the globe to support LEAD Scholars by completing their favorite 5K courses. Everyone and anyone can participate in the Hail! From Home Virtual 5K, and we'll mail the swag straight to you!
Your participation impacts U-M students:
A portion of every registration goes towards the LEAD Scholars General Fund, which supports Black, Native American, and Latinx students accepted to U-M. The LEAD Scholars program provides students across all three campuses with life-changing scholarship and inclusive community support that aims to empower scholars throughout college and beyond.
Your tax-deductible gift will help students that demonstrate leadership, excellence, achievement, and diversity achieve their dreams.

Once registered, you can join other alumni who have a passion for running in the Michigan Alumni Runners Community. Here you can share your photos and experience from the Virtual 5K and continue to connect with Wolverines who share your passion for running.
Participant Kit
All registrants* receive an all-new commemorative Hail! From Home race kit, which includes:
- Custom 2021 Hail! From Home Virtual 5K t-shirt
- Custom designed race bib
- Custom finisher medal and reusable lanyard
Kits will begin shipping the week of August 9th — all kits ship for free and will be mailed to the address you provided during registration. We hope you’ll join us and participate anytime during the month of September. To ensure that your kit arrives in time, please register at least two weeks prior to the date you plan to complete the 2021 Hail! From Home Virtual 5K.
*The Hail! From Home Virtual 5K participant kit can only be shipped to addresses within the contiguous United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. International participants can opt to receive a virtual kit with a downloadable bib and Finisher Certificate through the registration link.
