Manhattan Challenge 2025
This year, instead of our usual IARC Shore-to-Shore Walk, we’re excited to offer something new—The IARC Manhattan Challenge on August 2, Rain Date August 9 - a group walk with your friends!
It will be one of those unforgettable experiences that will stay with you forever—a walk along the full length of Manhattan.
If you’re up for the (18-20 miles) distance, this is one of those experiences you can casually mention in conversation (or Insta) and instantly earn a “wow.” The route will include a walk through Central Park from end to end, multiple coffee breaks, and a unique lunch stop. (This will be our final event for the Party Qualifier with a plus +1 )
Due to logistical constraints, we’ll need to limit participation to 20–25 people, on a first-come, first-served basis. We’ll go ahead with the plan if we have at least 10 interested participants.
This is a member only event and sign up has been shared on WhatsApp group.
Annual Celebration Event 2025!
An invitation-only event is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, 2025 to honor the achievements of IARC run/walk community members. Attendance will be limited to the first 100 individuals. Invitations will be allocated based on the following criteria, considering any event occurring between September 2024 and August 2025:
-
Participants who complete an official full ultra-marathon, marathon, or triathlon will secure entry for themselves and one guest.
-
Those who complete an official half marathon and volunteer at one race (external or internal IARC) will secure entry for themselves.
-
Those who complete an official half marathon and another official race (H.M, 5K, 10K, etc.) will secure entry.
-
4. Individuals who complete the IARC shore-to-shore hike will be eligible and ranked above a half-marathon event.
-
Individuals who complete the IARC 30K color run will be eligible and ranked above a half-marathon event.
-
Those who complete the IARC color run half marathon and volunteer at one race (external or internal IARC) will secure entry for themselves. Color run participants will be ranked below the official half marathoners.
-
Those who complete the IARC Color Run Half Marathon and another official race (5K, 10K, H.M, etc.) will secure entry. Color run participants will be ranked below the official half marathoners.
-
Those who complete a 10K race and volunteer event or another official race will be eligible based on available slots.
-
Finally, those who participate more than 70% of our weekly walk/run/hike events will qualify. The period starts from the first week of October 2024 to the last week of August 2025. (If you are planning to participate, please let Kamini or Parag know so that they can start the tracking)
A plus-one is not guaranteed for those who complete half marathons, but we will allocate plus-ones based on availability.
Runners who complete multiple half marathons will receive a higher ranking, while those who participate in multiple 10K events can increase their chances. The winners of the 2025 Winter and Summer Challenges will automatically qualify for the event (limitations apply), and early qualifiers will be prioritized over those who qualify later.
Please note that IARC Color Run 10Ks will not be considered qualifiers. However, official virtual half marathons (with medal proof) can be used as qualification criteria. Transferring a qualified slot to another individual will not be allowed. If a qualified individual is unable to attend, the next eligible person will be offered the slot.
Feel free to contact your coaches for training assistance. Securing qualification early will increase your chances of receiving an invitation. Don’t miss out on this exciting event!
