May 2, 2026, TriByKnight Sprint Triathlon; Wartburg College campus, Waverly, IA; 900am fast time trial start; 300-yard swim (indoor time-trial start), 15-mile bike, 3.1-mile run. (USAT)

May 17, 2026: Black Squirrel Triathlon; Council Bluffs, IA; The race starts and ends at Lake Manawa Beach. Swim 750m, Bike 20K, Run 5k. This event also includes an Aquabike.

June 6, Mind Over Matter, Hazel Green, WI, Swin in the lake at Coconut Cove RV Resort. Riders will then be challenged with a hilly bike on quiet and beautiful country roads in Grant County. The run is rolling, and finishes on a path around the lake with an optional slip n slide at the finish line! Youth race on Saturday.

June 14, 2026, Pigman Sprint and Olympic Triathlon is one of the MWX club's most popularly attended races!  MWX is proud to be a sponsor and many members volunteer in the MWX after-race Food Tent.  Pleasant Creek State Recreation Area (Palo, IA) Sprint distance is .5K swim, 25K bike and 5K run; Olympic distance is 1-mile swim, 26-mile bike, and 10K run (USAT) This event also includes an Aquabike and a Duathlon competition! Its a great opportunity for our triathlon families to meet and get to know each other - we'll see everyone there!

June 28, 2026, Ames Sprint Triathlon; Ames, IA at Ada Hayden Park; 800am time trial starts; 750-meter swim, 15.5-mile bike, 3.1-mile run.  (USAT)  This event also includes a Relay, ParaTriathlon, Aquabike, and a Duathlon competition!

July 18, 2026, DeWitt Crossroads Triathlon; DeWitt, IA; Start at Killdeer Recreation Area, 2471 330th Ave; Finish Central DeWitt High School, 519 E 11th St, DeWitt, IA   800 am time trial starts ; 500-yard swim, 15.5-mile bike, 4K run.

July 19, 2026; Omaha Triathlon - Nebraska State Championships 2026; The Bike course is on Lake Cunningham Road, North 72nd Street and Highway 36/Bennington Road. The Run Course in around the newly paved and scenic Lake Cunningham Recreation Area Lake. We are offering both Sprint Distance and Olympic Distant triathlons, Duathlon (Run-Bike-Run), Aquabike (Swim-Bike), Relay and Open Water Swim.

July 25, 2026: First Responders “Bring in the Backup” Triathlon; Northwood Iowa; 150 meter swim, 10.4 mile bike ride, and a 5k run. The swim is held at the Northwood Pool. The bike course is on a public highway with rolling hills for most of the course. The 5k run is mostly flat, with one gradual hill. Proceeds raised from the triathlon will be donated to Worth County Sheriff's Office, Northwood Fire and Rescue Department and the Future First Responders Scholarship for students at Northwood-Kensett. This event also includes a Relay, Aquabike, and a Duathlon competition!

August 1, 2026, Muscatine Triathlon; Muscatine, IA. Participants will start with a 750-meter swim, followed by a 12.4-mile bike ride through picturesque Muscatine, and finish with a 5K run. Kids splash & dash, and duathlon as well!

August 2, 2026; Des Moines Triathlon; Des Moines, IA. Beach start Gray's Lake and a closed course for the bike make this a great event for athletes of all experience levels.  We are offering both Sprint Distance and Olympic Distant triathlons along with Sprint Distance Duathlon (Run-Bike-Run) and Sprint Distance Aquabike (Swim-Bike).

August 9, 2026; Marion Family YMCA Triathlon; Marion, IA. Indoor pool 500 yard swim, 12 mile bike and a 5K run. Open for participants 14 years of age and older as individuals or as teams.

August 16, 2025, Storm the Lake Sprint Triathlon & Duathlon; Storm Lake, IA. Charity event for Storm Lake Kiwanis Projects for Youth. Start at King’s Pointe Waterpark and Resort. Swim in the protected bay, bike around the lake and run along the lake finishing at the flower lined path. 

August 29, 2026, TRI Clear Lake; Clear Lake State Park Beach; Clear Lake, Iowa; 800am time trial start - limited to 750 participants; Sprint Triathlon 750 meter Swim, 12.4 mile Bike, 3.1 mile Run. Olympic Distance: 1,500-meter swim, 24.8-mile bike, and 6.2-mile run  (USAT) They have a Kid's Splash & Dash on Friday evening - bring your 7 to 15 year-olds to experience the thrill. 

August 30, 2026, Hero Hustle Sprint Triathlon, Schram Pond, Manchester, IA; 900am wave start; 400yd swim, 16-mile bike ride, and a 5K run to wrap it up.

September 13, 2026,   Black Hawk YMCA Triathlon; George Wyth State Park, Cedar Falls, IA. Sprint Distance: 500 Meter swim, 15.8 Mile Bike, 3.1 mile run.

September 20, 2026, Iowa Games Triathlon; Polk City, IA. Sprint Distance Triathlon and Duathlon at Big Creek State Park.

October 6, 2026, Especially For You Race Against Breast Cancer; Cedar Rapids, IA; 5k Run, 1K walk.  Attended by over 18,000 participants.

November 2026 Cedar Rapids Turkey Trot;Cedar Rapids, IA. 5K.Start/Finish at Black Sheep Social Club, along the river trail.

November 2026 Run Turkey Run, Cedar Rapids, IA. 5-mile (or choose your distance!) run or walk through NE Cedar Rapids. Arrive at the football field at E Ave. and 20th St. NE Cedar Rapids at 8:00am. The route will not be marked. Corridor Running members will kick off this unofficial fun run.

Jan 1, 2027 New Year's Day Run; Cedar Rapids, IA. Free, self-directed run from Bever Park with Corridor Running.

• Bacoon Ride 2026 Bacoon is a 71-mile bike ride that combines two of Iowa's favorite things: cycling and bacon! With scenic routes on the Raccoon River Valley Trail and mouth-watering bacon treats along the way, this ride is sure to be a blast

• Big Rove Ride 2026: This one-day, 36-mile summertime fun ride cruises scenic trails in eastern Iowa from Cedar Rapids or Iowa City to Solon.
