Hello!
If you are reading my fundraiser page, you probably know that I am the oncology dietitian at the Payson Center for Cancer Care. I am so fortunate to be here, caring for patients and their loved ones. In my role, I am able to help patients manage side effects from treatments, navigate tube feedings, explore nutritional supplements, and learn about healthy foods and cooking. I teach a variety of classes with topics such as plant-based food preparation, inflammation, and bone health.
I work in the HOPE Resource Center with social workers, nurse navigators, mastectomy fitters, complementary therapies, a boutique for cancer patients, and a cancer registry. We also have many written resources here for our patients to include community and national resources in a sunny and welcoming environment. All of these support services and materials are offered at no cost to our patients.
The Rock 'N Race is proud to provide funding for programs and services of the Payson Center for Cancer Care HOPE Resource Center. Without this remarkable fundraiser, these support services would not be available to our patients.
