When is the Captains Breakfast?  This kick-off event is on February 7, 2024. This is a sit-down breakfast at Bektash Shriners from 7:30-8:45 am. Join us to learn everything you need to know about participating in Rock 'N Race as a team, raising funds for HOPE Resource Center, and having FUN!  You will hear from race participants and Payson Center staff, and receive a free gift for attending! Please register for this free event by January 25, 2023. 

What time does Rock 'N Race start? On May 8, 2024, the starting gun goes off at 6:00pm sharp! Pre-race ceremony begins on N State Street around 5:50 pm.

What is the cost to register? Adults are $25 online per person through March 1 for Early Bird registration. Adults are $30 online March 2 – May 2. Paper registration is $35 and children 14 and under are $15 per child.

Who receives a T-Shirt?  The first 2,500 registrants get a free 22nd Annual Rock 'N Race T-shirt!

For Participant's Safety: With more than 4,000 runners and walkers, Rock ‘N Race has become a meaningful community event. To ensure everyone’s safety and to adhere to USATF rules: No bikes, no roller blades, no skateboards, no headphones, no pets on the course. Individuals pushing strollers are prohibited from running in this event and must register as walkers. These are serious safety issues and will be enforced. 

Where should I park? Parking is available at parking garages in downtown Concord and street parking is available on a first come first served basis. Parking is NOT available on Capital or Park Streets or in front of the State House Plaza.

What is a "Rock Star" and how do I become one? Rock Stars are teams that raise $3,000 or more for this event. Rock Star teams receive a rock star headband to wear on race day, enjoy a special VIP Rock Star Tent on the State House Lawn sponsored by Concord Orthopaedics, and receive a special award for their efforts at the next Captains Breakfast in 2025!  The first place Rock Star Team will be recognized on a plaque at Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care.

Add-ons? Rock 'N Race swag can be purchased during registration and proceeds benefit Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care! You'll see add-on items on page 4 of registration. You can also purchase Add-ons after registration through your event profile under My Registration --> Add-On (on the sidebar menu). 

What is a "Tribute Sign"? Deadline for a Tribute Sign is May 3! Choose "$20 Tribute Sign" on the Donation Page and a small tribute sign will be placed along the route on race day in honor or memory of your loved ones. Proceeds will benefit Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care. Be sure to select "other" and write your message for the Tribute Sign in the text box that appears!

Where do I pick up my T-Shirt and race info? The first 2,500 registrants get free Rock 'N Race T-shirts! You can get your shirts at PACKET PICK-UP will take place at Christ the King Parish on May 7 OR on race day, May 8 at the State House from NOON until 5:30pm. Look for the tent that says, “Packet Pick-Up”. It will be located near Capitol Street. If you are attached to a team: You must make arrangements to pick up your T-shirt and bib from your team captain by 5 pm on race day. If you registered as an individual:  Pick up your T-shirt and bib number at the locations and times listed above. 

How do we get special customized Team T-Shirts? In order to receive customized Team T-Shirts, completed online registration/registration forms and full payment must be received by deadline April 12, 2024 at 11:59 pm. Customized t-shirts for teams of 10 or more walkers and/or runners. Teams with less than 10 members are not eligible to receive customized team t-shirts. Individuals registering with a team after April 14th will not be eligible for the customized team t-shirts.

Do runners get prizes?  Yes, special prizes go to the top 3 men/women/nonbinary runners.  Additionally, age group winners will receive prizes from Runner's Alley.  Prizes will be given after the race at 6:45 pm on the State House Lawn at the Runner's Alley Tent.

Do participants receive prizes for fundraising?  Yes, individuals who raise $250 or greater are entered into a raffle to win a special prize. Two lottery tickets are entered for those raising $250 - $499, five tickets entered for those raising $500 - $999 and 10 tickets entered for those raising $1,000 or more. Individuals raising $2,000 and above will and receive all of the above and a Top Fundraiser award at the Captains Breakfast 2025.  Please note: Individual fundraiser totals are also counted towards team totals if they are a team member.
