My team theme this year is "Cancer Is Relentless". On February 21st I lost my brother, Joe, to cancer. I'm dedicating this year's Rock 'N Race to him. I'm also still experiencing the after shocks of Chemo Therapy. Since October, I've been working with the cardiology team at Dana Farber / Brigham And Women's, to get my heart back in a normal rhythm. It's truly relentless!
Team 'Dan B Strong' is returning for the 7th year in the upcoming 2025 Rock 'N Race on Wednesday, May 7th. I'm so thankful to all my supporters and teammates as we raised just under $4,400 again last year! I am also pleased to share that our team was recently recognized with the 'Rock Star' award for our fundraising efforts for last year's race. I am hopeful that we will not only match last year's numbers, but we will surpass them with flying colors!
Please join me in either walking or running on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 and donating to my team to help me reach our team goal of $4,500.00. I am looking forward to another fun race with great music, fresh spring air and especially friends and teammates who make this effort all worthwhile.
The HOPE Resource Center at Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care offers important services to cancer patients and their families through experts who offer guidance, information, and access to support programs for people affected by cancer at no cost. These include services such as nutritional and financial counseling, nurse navigation and social work support, spiritual care, support groups, and online resources such as the Anticancer Lifestyle Series.
