John Davis, Chief Nurse Officer at St. Margaret Hospital, answered a few questions for St. Margaret Foundation below:
How do you plan to participate in the Hope Challenge? This will be my first year participating in the Hope Challenge and I am planning to make a much-needed return to my peloton bike. I’ve taken a longer-than-planned pause post-pandemic.
Where are you from? I’m a country boy, I grew up in a small town: Medina, Ohio.
What’s a fun fact that most people would be surprised to know about you? I have a small hobby farm with goats, pigs & chickens.
What do you like to do in your free time? Most of my free time now is filled with searching for a new home closer to St. Margaret as my husband and I plan our relocation closer to Pittsburgh!
If you have any pets, what are their names? Too many to name but … 2 goats, 2 pigs, handful of chickens, 3 barn cats, 2 Great Pyrenees farm dogs, a geriatric Shepard mix, a bossy basset hound with Addison’s disease, and 2 English Mastiffs. Winston is the most popular - he is 230 lbs and a registered therapy dog so he occasionally makes hospital visits).
What’s your favorite book, movie, or TV show? I love any book by Brené Brown, she is my professional idol. I’m so excited about her podcast returning.
