The Rockland Road Runners Scholarship Fund was the brainchild of long-time Race Director, Mike Angarola. Each year, the South Nyack Ten Miler funds a large part of this program, which benefits Rockland County High School Student Athletes. In 2021, the scholarship was renamed in memory of Bruce Yang, a former Club Member.
Applicants must:
- Participate for their school’s track and/or cross country teams;
- Reside in and attend a Rockland County high school, or have a current Rockland Road Runners membership;
- Volunteered at a RRR event OR for a community event in the past 4 years;
- Excel academically;Plan to attend college;
- Demonstrate strong character and leadership qualities.
