Fifteen years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer. My journey included three more recurrences—for a total of four battles with ovarian cancer in five years. I endured four surgeries and 24 months of chemotherapy. My last surgery was 10 years ago, and today I am incredibly grateful to be a 15-year survivor.
I am so thankful for my family and friends who have supported, encouraged, and prayed for me throughout my journey. I truly could not have done it without them.
My experience with ovarian cancer inspired me to become involved with the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati. I wanted to turn my experience into action and fight back against this terrible disease.
Together, we work to raise awareness and educate women, support survivors, and fund research for a cure and early detection. That is why I walk.
I walk in gratitude for my survival, in memory of those we have lost, and in hope for all the women who are fighting today.
Please join my team and walk with me, or make a donation to support our team. Every step and every dollar brings us closer to a future without ovarian cancer.
Thank you for standing with me in this fight!
