Join us for face painting, where getting into the spirit and generosity come together! Following your donation to this Big Beautiful Life Fundraiser face painting appointments will be scheduled (simple designs so we can paint as many faces as possible), in loving memory of our Big Beautiful Life Hero, Warin Bruce and his incredible family. Together, we will continue to shine his light in our hearts and through our actions.
Warin's mother, Holli, shares their moving story and the profound impact of Big Beautiful Life:
"Warin Bruce Larose was born on January 25th, 2024 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston Massachusetts. He was born at just under 33 weeks gestation via emergency c-section. Days prior, at UVM medical center while still in utero he had been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and hydrops fetalis. Warin spent 5 days in the NICU at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He fought hard, but his body was too little and too sick to keep fighting. On January 30th around 11PM we (his parents David and Holli) had to say the hardest goodbye of our lives. Struck with grief at only 25 and 26 years old, we didn’t have to worry about paying the bills or how we would pay for Warin’s celebration of life. Thanks to Big Beautiful Life, we were able to take time to grieve together with our daughter Winona who was only 2 at the time. David was able to take 2 months off work thanks to the efforts of the Big Beautiful Life community. Through the hospital stay and in the weeks following the tragic loss of my son, I stayed in contact with Big Beautiful Life and was offered constant emotional support.
