  • Wayside uses food to reduce waste, fight hunger and strengthen community through volunteer-driven programming and a collaborative, cross-industry network of partners in Southern Maine. Wayside is dedicated to strengthening our community and fighting hunger while decreasing environmental impact. Through their network of partners throughout Southern Maine, Wayside redirects edible food from entering landfills and shares it with partners and community members in ways that connects neighbors with each other. Last year Wayside rescued over 1 million pounds of edible food that would have otherwise been thrown away but instead filled the shelves of pantries and homes across Southern Maine.
