Maine Track Club Donates $140,000 to Maine Food Insecurity Organizations

With the federal government shutdown and uncertainty of federal funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the Maine Track Club (MTC) has announced $140,000 in unrestricted donations to food insecurity organizations across Maine.

Good Shepherd Food Bank, which distributes food to over 600 food pantries and other partners throughout Maine, will receive $65,000. Additionally, the following organizations will each receive $15,000; Preble Street, Wayside Food Programs, The Locker Project, Cultivating Community, and Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program.

Your donation will be distributed equally to Good Shepherd Food Bank, The Locker Project, Preble Street, Wayside Food Programs, Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program and Cultivating Community.
Thank you.
