NowKalamazoo is a journalism laboratory, reinventing what local news is and does, while serving the information needs of residents of Kalamazoo County. NowKalamazoo is independent, nonpartisan and nonprofit, producing civic media, events, and training programs for citizens and aspiring journalists.
NowKalamazoo is operated by The Local Journalism Foundation of Kalamazoo County, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity. Alongside NowKalamazoo, the foundation operates programs aimed at improving diversity and inclusion in local media, and promoting civic engagement and participation in local government and society. The foundation and NowKalamazoo are funded through a combination of individual reader donations, grants, philanthropic support, and local business sponsorships.
