Who We Are

Aid For All is a youth-led nonprofit founded by local high school students Brianna Zhang, Janelle Yao, and Aanya Goel. The organization focuses on making sports, arts, and music more accessible in the primary education of children. As reported by the University of Michigan Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation, "1 in 6 middle and high school students don’t participate in extracurricular activities; students from low-income households have twice the level of nonparticipation as peers from higher-income homes." Sports, music, and arts extracurriculars are vital to the healthy development of children, contributing to their physical fitness, motor skills, cognitive and social skills, emotional well-being, leadership skills, and so much more. Unfortunately, due to their high cost, extracurricular activities are a financial strain to many families. Thousands of children have to grow up without access to these integral developmental activities, and Aid For All wants to change that. In the future, we see Aid For All expanding nationwide, hosting events, classes, and equipment drives, providing scholarships, fundraising for children's hospitals, and helping recovering athletes.
