Community Changes Everything

At Treehouse Foundation, we believe children heal and thrive when life is steady, neighbors know one another, and community shows up—again and again.

In Easthampton, Treehouse has built a permanent intergenerational village where families fostering to adopt and older adults live side by side. Housing is affordable and stable. Relationships are intentional. Belonging is built slowly and held carefully — all in service of permanency and adoption for children in foster care.

Your gift doesn’t simply fund a program.
It strengthens the circle around a child and says:

You are safe here.
You belong here.
You matter.

The outcomes are extraordinary. This model works. It changes trajectories. It replaces instability with connection and isolation with community.

The Runway 5K is our chance to rally together and support innovation in foster care.

We are the community.
Let’s celebrate what’s possible — and help it grow.

Join us. Give generously. Run (or walk!) with purpose.

Thank you for making a difference.

How Your Gift Makes a Difference
$25 | Small Comforts, Big Meaning
Provides everyday essentials for foster youth — books, craft supplies, personal care kits, or seasonal items like socks and mittens. Simple comforts that meet real needs and quietly say: you are cared for.

$50 | Comfort and Care
Supports healthy snacks for youth gatherings and comforting items like a throw blanket or stuffed animal — small anchors of warmth and reassurance that help young people feel secure.

$100 | A Fresh Start
Provides backpacks and school supplies — tools that signal readiness and hope. For a child shaped by disruption, this simple act says: we believe in you.

$200 | A Shared Table
Sponsors one intergenerational community dinner, bringing foster youth and elders together for conversation, laughter, and storytelling. Around the table, family is built beyond biology.

$300 | Creativity Across Generations
Funds weekly arts, crafts, or cooking workshops led by elder residents and joined by foster youth. Traditions are passed on. Confidence grows. Belonging deepens — one shared moment at a time.

$500 | Steady After-School Support
Provides a full week of after-school snacks and programming — creating a dependable space where youth can decompress, connect with caring adults, and feel safe when the school day ends.

$750 | A Day of Joy
Makes possible an off-site excursion for youth and elders — a museum visit, arcade outing, or shared adventure. These experiences spark joy, reduce isolation, and remind everyone that discovery is sweeter together.
