About the Runway 5K

Race Date: April 28. Run & Walk both start at 9AM.

You know what’s even more rewarding than finishing a 5K on a runway? Knowing that you helped change foster care for good when you cross the finish line. The Runway 5K mission is to bring community together to raise funds for foster care innovation. Every dollar raised helps kids soar.

When you register for the Runway, you’re joining a community on a mission to support kids first – and a race/walk second. It's easy and fun to get involved. You can run – timed or for fun – walk, join virtually or volunteer.  You can create a team – or fly solo – for fundraising. We’ll share tips and tools to help you succeed in raising funds and awareness to celebrate your participation and foster care innovation.  Every dollar serves children, youth and families who’ve been impacted by foster care in the greater Pioneer Valley.

Plus, this year donations go further thanks to Greenfield Savings Bank. GSB will match every dollar donated to $15,000 with their Community Challenge Grant. Don't miss earning your wings and a Runway Beanie when you raise or donate $150 or more!

About Treehouse Foundation

Treehouse believes that every child deserves to be rooted in family and community.

In a Treehouse Community, children who have been in foster care thrive in an entire neighborhood dedicated to their well-being. Families support each other, and older adults find new purpose as “honorary grandparents.” It’s a village with a shared mission and one where every resident is deeply committed.

The Treehouse Model is the framework for an affordable housing neighborhood. It's designed to provide healing and permanency. The Model also provides vital aging for older people and support for families and youth who have aged out of foster care.

Our 21-year track record shows dramatically improved life outcomes for kids. The rate of youth who continue their education past high school is ten times higher at Treehouse. Juvenile justice intervention, teen parenthood, and school dropout rates are near absent. And no child who has had the benefit of living at Treehouse ever "ages out" of foster care alone.

If you want to experience the power of multigenerational community living at Treehouse Easthampton, please sign up for a tour on the Treehouse website.
