Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

I am excited to participate in the 38th Annual The Ben to the Shore, which supports the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation!

I am riding this year in memory of my husband, Jeff Tomczak. This race was especially important to Jeff, and I promised him I would keep his memory alive by riding in his name. We have made the trip down to AC to watch our friends cross the finish line the past few years, so I am excited to be the one crossing the line this year with our oldest son, Matthew.

Participating in this race is also meaningful for our family because Families Behind the Badges came to our rescue during our greatest time of need. By riding, I want to bring awareness and raise necessary funds so that they can continue supporting families of first responders.

The Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation (FBBCF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to improving the lives of children in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area. We achieve this by providing necessary financial relief for the families of fallen or critically injured first responders (police officers, firefighters, EMTs); cultivating positive relationships and interactions between police officers and the children in the communities they serve; and providing mental and emotional wellbeing resources to first responders and their families.
