I am running this 5K in honor of my son and daughter with autism and in support of the Black Autism Coalition (BAC).

BAC has become more than an organization to my family—it has become a community, a support system, and a place where our family belongs. Through BAC, my family has had opportunities to participate in inclusive activities, connect with other families who understand our journey, access valuable resources, and build friendships in spaces where our children are accepted exactly as they are.

BAC has given my children opportunities to learn, grow, participate, and be included. It has also reminded our family that we are not walking this journey alone.

That is why every step I take during this 5K has meaning. I am running for my children. I am running for every family who deserves support. I am running for acceptance, opportunity, and inclusion.
