As the only animal welfare resource serving Carbon County, our mission is to be diligently responsive to finding solutions to the animal welfare needs in our community. Our lifesaving and life altering work is made possible largely due to revenue generated through the highly successful event, Red Lodge Fun Run for Charities. This annual event is a significant part of our operating budget and allows us to concentrate more of our time on program delivery versus fundraising efforts. BHA assists homeless animals in need by attending to their medical needs and placing them in caring foster homes until a loving, permanent home may be found, controlling dog and cat overpopulation through spay-neuter programs, fostering compassion and kindness through youth humane education presentations, distributing pet food to all county food banks, helping families encountering financial hardships feed their horses and serving as a centralized information center for lost and found pets.
