Details

Handler: Assists the Moose as they move through the crowd and interact with participants, as vision in the costume is limited.

Mascot: Wear the Moose mascot costume. Wave, dance, be animated, and pose for pics with all ages.
Cation - moose costume can get hot on hot days. Bring lots of water and take breaks. The actual time for one person in the costume is usually an hour or less.
Plan to spend an hour at the farmers market during some time in between 9 am and 12 pm.

Hand out T-shirts and race bibs to early registrants, answer general event questions, and assist with 5k/10k registration the Thursday and Friday before the event at the RLACF Office.

Details

Distribute posters and registration forms throughout businesses, schools, and other community spaces in: Red Lodge, Billings, Cody, Powell, Roberts, Joliet, Fromberg, Bridger, and Belfry and up to 2-hour drive radius. Requires an automobile and multiple times of distribution throughout August. Volunteers will deliver registration mailers and posters in the first week of August.

Details

Assist in entering manual participant registration information into a spreadsheet from July to September. Each timeslot will take about an hour of time to enter. The time shown shows the time frame the data needs to be entered.

Details

Organize and decide on which prizes go to 5K & 10K Female/Male 1st, 2nd & 3rd place race finisher prizes before the event. Help distribute prizes on event day to race winners.

We will meet the week of the event prior to the race to organize prizes. Date and time are flexible. Expect 2 hours of volunteer time.

Details

This team takes a few hours to gather cones, candlesticks, and tables that are required for getting the park and race course ready for race day. We meet at the Roosevelt Center, pick up the trailer, and grab cones/candlesticks from the city.

This occurs the week of the race. We will schedule the date and time depending on everyone's schedules. If you have experience driving a trailer, that is immensely helpful.

Pick up water dispensers, cups, trash cans, and liners Pre Event. Provide water to participants along the route on event day. About 2 hours per volunteer.

Race Day Registration High Priority

Details

Distribute pre-registered T-shirts and race bibs. Help with day-of registration, T-shirts and race bibs, donations, and selling sundries. This is a fast-paced team tech saavy team. Be ready to bring your best customer service to help registrants sign up, get their t-shirts, and make a donation! You will be using the RaceDayCheckIn app on your smart phone.

Route Monitors High Priority

Details

This is such a Fun and Important team. You will monitor the course to ensure public safety for participants and street traffic. Make sure signage and cones are in a good location and direct runners at important intersections along the course. About 2 hours per volunteer. The team meets at 8 am at the Fire Station. Coffee and snacks are provided.

Finish Line Cheering Medium Priority

Details

Cheer on the participants as they finish their walk/run at the Lions Park. This team always adds to the excitement of finishing the course as participants end at Lions Park to celebrate and enjoy the activities and food provided at the event.

Regularly clean during and post-event, make a sweep of park and event areas, plus monitor cleanliness and paper product needs for public restrooms and port-a-potties.
