I am participating in this year’s Chester County Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning!
Since 2012, this race has not only supported the DWest XC team, but the Cure4Cam Childhood Cancer Foundation as well. 100% of sponsorships and donations through this race will go to support childhood cancer research.
Did you know that in 2023, cancer was expected to be diagnosed in over 15,000 children and adolescents in the U.S. About 1600 of those children will die from their disease. And, although survival rates have increased over the past few decades, childhood cancer survivors have a high chance of developing a secondary cancer and/or chronic health problem(s) affecting their quality of life and leading to premature death.
