2025 Rochester River Run/Walk 5K

My name is Eric and I was fortunate enough to receive a liver transplant and the gift of life at Strong in early 2024. I will be participating in the 2025 Rochester River Run/Walk 5K.  OK.....let's be honest, I MAY light jog, wheeze a little and take many, many breaks!

Today I reach out to you to help support BOTH patients needing organ transplant surgery and supporting the mission of Strong Memorial Hospital.

To my supporters; financial, spiritual, medical and my family and friends; I sincerely thank you for your generosity and compassion.

I would like to thank one crucial person, my Donor. My donor had to lose their life just 6 to 10 hours prior to my receiving their gift of life.  My donor family lost a member of theirs so that I may continue mine. That is a debt that I will never be able to repay but will forever be grateful.

Lastly, I would like to thank my wife Jennifer.  Without her love, support and sheer will in  fighting for me when I could not, I would not have had this second chance at life. I fear that you will never understand my depth of love I hold for you.
