Why We Run (or Walk)
The River Run/Walk 5K is an annual fundraiser sponsored by Friends of Strong Memorial Hospital and the hospital's organ transplant teams. All proceeds directly benefit transplant patients.
Transplant recipients who come to Strong for heart, liver, kidney and pancreas transplants often benefit from supplemental financial assistance while they await and recover from surgery. Your support will help hundreds of patients currently awaiting transplants, as well as those who continue to receive follow-up care from Strong.
