The Friends of the Cottage Grove Community Library, Inc. began meeting in the summer of 1998. The group had over 75 members and held many activities including used book sales, garden tours, and quilt raffles. We participated in local events and donated to our school libraries. In 2004, the Friends received non-profit status and supported the Library Board for several years. Currently, we provide the volunteers and resources to establish a permanent public library in Cottage Grove. The group plans and supports activities to enhance literacy skills for all our residents.
