General Event Information

What is the 4 on the 4th?

The 4 on the 4th is a 4-mile run that takes place on the 4th of July at Visions Federal Credit Union Headquarters in Endwell, New York (3301 Country Club Road, Endwell, New York).

What time does the race start?

The race begins promptly at 8:00 AM.

Who can participate?

All are welcome to participate! All ages and experience levels. The 4 on the 4th is a great family-friendly option to start your holiday.

 

Registration and Packet Pickup

How do I register for the race?

Register on the race website by clicking the “Registration” link at the top of the page.

Is there race day registration?

We encourage participants to register in advance of race day. We will accommodate race day registration until 7:30 AM. We cannot guarantee a race tank for day-of registrants.

How much does registration cost?

The 4 on the 4th had age-based pricing. The following prices include a $3.10 RunSignUp fee.

Ages 0-9: Free

Ages 10-17: $16.90

18+ with a race tank: $38.10

 

I am a Visions member. Is there a discount?

Visions members receive a $5 discount at checkout. No coupon code required.

What does registration include?

General event registration includes a race tank, finisher’s medal, race bib, complimentary pre-and post-race refreshments, and free race photos.

When and where is packet pickup?

Packet pickup will take place on Thursday, July 2nd, 2025, from 4:30 PM-6:30 PM* in the parking lot of Visions headquarters (3301 Country Club Road, Endwell, NY).

*Date and times subject to change. If any changes occur, registered participants will be notified via email.

Can someone else pick up my packet for me?

Yes, you can have your packet picked up on your behalf. The person picking up your packet must provide your name to the packet pickup volunteers.

We ask those picking up packets on someone’s behalf ensure that participant is aware that you are picking up their packet in advance.

How do I change my shirt size?

Registered participants should contact 4onthe4th@visionsfcu.org to change their shirt size.

 

Race Day Logistics

Where do I park?

Parking is available in the parking lot of Visions headquarters, but spaces are limited. Please enter this parking lot through the Visions entrance towards Country Club and Hooper Roads.

Additional parking is available on the streets surrounding Visions. Please be aware that Country Club Road is closed starting at 7:00 AM on race day.

When should I arrive?

Participants can begin arriving as early as 6:30 AM for race-day registration. On-site vendors and pre-race refreshments will be available after 7:00 AM.

What if I am late?

The race is chip timed. If you are a few minutes late, you are invited to begin the race at the starting line upon your arrival. Please note that our timing company will take down the starting line by 8:30 AM.

Where are the bathrooms?

Multiple portable bathrooms and handwash stations are available in the event concourse.

Is there a bag drop?

Yes, participants can drop off their bag at the packet pickup and registration tent. Bag drop off will be open from 7:00 AM-7:45 AM.

 

Course and Rules

Is the course hilly or flat?

The course is the perfect mix of challenging hills at the start and a flat finish!

Is there a map of the course?

A course map is available on the race website. Please click the “Participant Guide” link at the top of the page.

Can I have a stroller on the course?

Yes, strollers are allowed on the course. We kindly ask that participants walking with strollers start towards the back of the starting area to allow runners to begin first.

Can I walk the course?

Yes, you can walk the course. We kindly ask that participants walking the course start towards the back of the starting area to allow runners to begin first.

Are dogs/pets allowed?

Dogs are allowed on the course. For everyone's safety and comfort, we kindly ask participants with dogs to start toward the back of the starting area to allow runners to begin first. Dogs must always be on a leash and should be comfortable, calm, and well-behaved around large groups. This helps ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Are headphones allowed?

While headphones are discouraged, we understand that participants enjoy listening to music for motivation. If you do wear headphones, please be aware of your surroundings on the course.

Are there water stations?

There are three water stations located on the course – located near mile markers 1, 2, and 3.

Is there a time limit?

Participants must finish within 2 hours of the start time (10:00 AM).

What if I can't finish?

 If you are unable to finish the race for any reason, don’t worry – help is close by. There are volunteers stationed frequently along the 4-mile course who can assist you. Simply let the nearest volunteer know that you need assistance. They will contact the race director, who will dispatch our on-site EMS team to your location.

 

Post-Race

Where can I find the results?

The results will be posted by Falcon Race Timing on a corkboard on the concourse. They will be posted on the Falcon Race Timing website shortly after the completion of the race. QR codes will be available on the concourse to access the website.

Will there be post-race refreshments?

The 4 on the 4th prides itself on having the best post-race party! Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be available to all registered participants. Food vendor to be announced. All guests are invited to enjoy free ice cream from the Cone Connection Ice Cream Truck.

What happens after I finish?

After you finish the race, all participants are invited to enjoy post-race refreshments and to stop by one of our on-site vendors before the award ceremony. The award ceremony begins 10 minutes after the final participant has crossed the finish line.


Where do I collect my medal?

After crossing the finish line, stop by the medal tent to collect yours. The tent is conveniently located in the middle of the event concourse on the way to the food tent.

How can I earn a 2025 medal to start my series collection?

If you missed the 2025 race and would like to receive the medal to start your series collection, there will be multiple opportunities throughout the season to do so! More information will be announced during the season.

Where can I find event photos?

 A link to event photos from Van Zandbergen Photography will be shared on the 4 on the 4th social media and via email after the race.

 

Changes and Policies

What is the refund policy?

If you are unable to attend the race and would like a refund, please contact the race director at 4onthe4th@visionsfcu.org.

I signed up but am unable to race. Can I transfer my registration?

Participants can easily transfer from our in-person race to the virtual option, or vice versa, by contacting the 4onthe4th@visionsfcu.org.

Participants can also transfer their registration to another interested participant by contacting the above email.

What happens if there is bad weather?

We closely watch the forecast during the week of the event. If there is severe weather on the forecast, participants will be contacted no later than 6:00 PM on Friday, July 3rd.

 

Virtual Event Information

How do I participate virtually?

Virtual participation is easy! Simply complete 4 miles between July 4th and the 11th. Submit your time on your RunSignUp account, and we will be notified of your completion. After the 11th, medals and race tanks will be sent in the mail. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery depending on your location.

When is the deadline to submit my race time?

The deadline is Saturday, July 11th.

If I participate virtually, do I receive a medal and race tank?

Of course!
