Q: Who are the beneficiaries of the race?
A: The Leslie Baltz Foundation, an art history scholarship fund, is the beneficiary of the race.
Q: Who plans the 4th Year 5K?
A: The 4th Year 5K is planned by the University of Virginia's Peer Health Educators (PHEs).
Q: What is included in the registration fee?
A: Long sleeve dri-fit race shirt*, chipped bib for accurate race-time, and many great prizes provided by our sponsors!
*First 800 participants to pick up their race packets are guaranteed an official race shirt.
Q: Am I able to register on race day?
A: Yes, but the registration fee for all participants increases to $20 on race day.
Q: Where do I pick up my packet?
A: Packet pick up will take place from November 11-22, Monday-Friday 10 am-3 pm on UVA's South Lawn (Homer Statue). Rain location will be inside Newcomb near Fresh Food Co. Packet pick up outside of these times will take place in the Elson Student Health Center (400 Brandon Ave, Charlottesville, VA 22903) Monday-Friday from 8 am - 5pm. Packet pick up at Student Health will begin November 4, 2019.
Q: I'm not sure I am able to pay the registration fee. Are there grants available?
A: The 4th Year 5K aims to be as accessible as possible. If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact the 4th Year 5K planning team, firstname.lastname@example.org, for more information.
Q: Where does the race begin?
A: The race begins at 8:00 am in front of Monroe Hall.
Q: How long is the race?
A: The race will begin at 8:00 am and awards and prizes will be announced at 8:45 am in front of the Homer Statue.
