Friends and fellow adventurers,
This April, I’m trading my vintage boots for a pair of running shoes as I take on the Crescent City Classic 10K—not just to move my feet, but for a cause that moves my heart. As a charity runner for Girls on the Run, I invite you to join me in supporting this incredible youth development program that blends hustle with heart.
Girls on the Run is more than a running program; it is a transformative journey for girls in 3rd-8th grade, weaving together physical activity with essential life lessons in confidence, leadership, and resilience. Over the course of eight weeks, these young runners gain the tools to stride boldly into their futures—culminating in the completion of their own 5K. This season, I'm a proud coach for the team at Dr. John Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy.
The dollars we raise will provide scholarships, ensuring that every girl—no matter her circumstances—has access to the program. Through movement, mentorship, and a curriculum designed to inspire and empower, we help break through the doubts that too often shadow girlhood.
If this mission resonates with you, I’d be honored by your support. And if you can’t give, simply cheering us on means the world!
With gratitude,
Lauren G.
