The Gresham Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is made up of high school students in east county who work to bridge and create an overall understanding between local youth and local government. YAC members provide a voice to elected officials and city leaders about issues that are important to young people, represent the city at various events, and lead and volunteer at numerous community service projects. YAC members are empowered to learn about and engage local government and consider careers in local government.

With its grant funding, the YAC is partnering with Feed'em Freedom Foundation to enhance the Rockwood Village Farm, a one-acre farm that provides sustainable, healthy food for local residents and the broader community.

A small amount of funding, combined with some creativity and sweat equity, will help further improve this valuable community space!
