In 2023 for the second time I failed a DOT physical for loss of peripheral vision. I was then passed from my eye dr. And sought out additional answers as to why I had slight vision loss. That’s when an eye doctor in Kenosha made a call and sent me to Milwaukee for further evaluation leading to my brain tumor diagnosis in march 2023. At the time I was a father to a 1 and 2 year old. In April 2023 I had a brain biopsy. Then 1 month after that I had awake brain surgery and suffered a stroke during surgery. The brain surgery alone caused defects and the stroke added a whole new laundry list of defects that I now face daily. I had to relearn how to walk, talk, eat, drive and everything that we do on a daily basis. My 1 year old and myself learned how to walk together! I had over 188 therapy sessions! We were hopeful that surgery would remove all of the tumor but unfortunately it wasn’t. I am still fighting and will continue to fight for probably the rest of my life.
