The Center for Loss and Bereavement became a very important part of my life when my son, Eric, died after suffering a massive ischemic stroke during epilepsy surgery at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Eric was 17. I’ve formed this team with the hope of giving a little something back to the Center for everything they continue to do to help me make my way through my journey of grief.
I hope you will consider joining my team and will walk with me, run ahead of me, participate in the event virtually, or help me meet my fundraising goal by making a donation to support the Center in memory of Eric. Sadly, death does not discriminate. At some point in time, someone who is extra special to each one of us will die. Perhaps by paying it forward now, we can all ensure that the Center will be there for those of us who currently rely on their services and those who are yet to come.
