Our family was introduced to the Center for Loss in 2019 when we lost my dad, Michael Gallo. He was the shining star in so many peoples' lives, especially our oldest, Valentina. As parents to a grieving 5 year old my husband Gus and I turned to the Center to help her in her new journey with grief. Five years later, in January 2024, when we lost Gus, now with 2 more children added to our family, the Center welcomed us back with the warmest hug and introduced our girls to Nello's Corner. Nello's immediately became a favorite place for both Valentina and Catalina. The support they've received from the amazing volunteers as well as the friendships they've formed while in group have been so beautiful to witness as their mom. Both the Center for Loss and Bereavement and Nello's Corner have become such beloved spaces in our lives and are we so grateful to be part of such wonderful organizations. -Sophia
Our team is proud to participate in the Strides of Hope 5K to support grieving children, teens, and adults in our community. Together, we’re walking (or running!) for those navigating the pain of loss, including the 1 in 11 children who will lose a parent or sibling before they turn 18.
Grief can be a heavy burden at any age, but we believe no one should face it alone. That’s why we’re raising funds to provide compassionate programs, resources, and hope for those who need it most.
Every step we take is for the families in our community who deserve healing and connection. Will you help us reach our team fundraising goal? Every donation, big or small, makes a meaningful impact.
Thank you for your generosity and support. Together, we can make strides for hope! ❤️
