Snow Globe Run

Race Location

Whether you run, walk, signed up for our newly added snowshoe event, or just stand and cheer, you are invited to participate in the Snow Globe Run on Saturday, December 14, 2024, on Campbell Creek Trail behind the Peanut Farm restaurant at 11:15 AM. **Not sure about running in the snow? Try our newly added snowshoe race that will start at 11:00am!**

There will be a Zoo Critters themed costume contest beginning at 10:15 a.m., before the start of the race, for those wanting to dress in costume. Prizes, complements of the Peanut Farm, will be given for best Child (12 and under), Male, Female, and Group costumes.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Alaska Zoo.

Due to insurance requirements, dogs are not allowed at this event, and we ask that you leave them at home. Due to anticipated snow on the course strollers are discouraged but if you decide to participate with a stroller we ask that you start in the back.

Race Partner

The Anchorage Running Club is partnering with the Alaska Zoo for this race.  A portion of the race fee proceeds, as well as all online donations will be donated to the Alaska Zoo. 

Course Information

The course start and finish line is on the trail and accessible via the Peanut Farm overflow parking lot to the south of the former Sourdough Mining Company. The course is a 4K out and back along the Campbell Creek Trail south for 2K and turns around. This is a flat course with little in the way of hills.

Bib Pickup

Bib pickup will be on Thursday, December 12th, 2023, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at The Movement Clinic,  4007 Old Seward Hwy STE 100, Anchorage, AK 99503

Bib pick up and registration is also available on the morning of the race from 10:00-10:45 am.

All participants will receive a finisher medal on race day after they finish the race. The top 3 men and women finishers will receive prizes from the Peanut Farm/Movement Clinic/SteamDot to mark their achievement.

Late registration fees are in effect for runners registering after 11:59 PM, December 12, 2024.
